Audio and video connectivity includes HDMI and component video and digital as well as analog 7.1 audio outputs. It also offers full HD 1080p output via HDMI with Cinema mode at 24 or 60 frames per second. Digital audio decoding includes Dolby Digital Plus, TrueHD and dts-HD.
At a retail price of only $449.95, demand is high and supply is low for this new hybrid player from LG. Amazon.com is currently taking orders for the new gem for only $399.99 with free shipping - click here.
LG is the Korean electronics firm that had been planning a set-top-box networked video streamer for use with Netflix -- one that could possibly compete with Apple TV. However, few home theater system experts expected to see the Netflix streamer combined with a Blu-ray player. The LG BD300 is indeed a pleasant surprise. If you have been waiting for a reason to finally get a Blu-ray player -- your wait is over.
