Sony KDL-40Z4100 | KDL-46Z4100
New 1080p LCD Full HD TVs

The Sony KDL-40Z4100 High Definition LCD TV and its big brother the KDL-46Z4100 are beautifully stylish TVs with slim, sleek bezels and feature a thin overall depth. The brand new LCD models from Sony perform as well as they look. The models are being touted as complete entertainment solutions. Features include a Digital Media Port, Internet Video Link and DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatibility. They're coming soon and among 17 new Sony LCD HDTV models unveiled at CES 2008.

Powered by Sony's BRAVIA Engine 2 with 1080p resolution, the KDL-40Z4100 and its sibling offer excellent image quality which has no comparison anywhere. The X.V.Color compatibility increases color data range of video to 1.8 times giving a lifelike picture. Watch your favorite action hero performing stunts or sporting events in total clarity. Sony's new models sport 120hz/24fps motion-flow circuitry eliminating all motion artifacts.

Additionally the new 2008 Sony line of Bravias feature a new 3D graphics interface, along with the ability to play back video and music from portable media devices such as iPods or similar devices via the Digital Media Port (DMP). With the Sony Digital Media Extender (DMeX) technology integrated within the Bravia model lineup, add-on models will be able to expand the TV's functionality.

Sony was indeed very busy at this years CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and announced a total of 17 new Sony Bravia model LCD HDTVs to the home theater and home entertainment world.

The new models are split into six different model lines, starting at the top of the line down, the Z, W, V, XBR6, N and M Series. Available sizes range from 19-inches to 52-inches.

The two Z series models are at the top of Sony's new model line. Both have full HD 1080p 10-bit LCD panels and feature the new Bravia Engine 2 for image enhancement, a WCG-CCFL backlight, x.v.Color, ACE (Advanced Contrast Enhancer circuitry). Inputs are very healthy with 4x HDMI, 2x component, and PC input. Due to begin shipping this Spring -- the models are robust, packed with features and either the Sony KDL-40Z4100 or big brother KDL-46Z4100 would be a great addition to any living room -- but not quite big enough (in my opinion) for a dedicated home theater.
